Days In The Life Of A Nature Artist (Starting A New Painting & Trying Collage)

Hi everyone, welcome to my new studio blog. Today’s plan is that I have a video premiering and then my mother-in-law is going to watch Rowan so I’m really excited. I also plan on starting a new painting with you.

Here’s an idea that I have for my painting.

After a few hours, I finished my sketch on my chemist so now I’m going to spray it down so it doesn't smear when I add paint and other things. Then I’m going to do something I was not planning to do in this painting. Something I’m really excited about. I’m going to try collaging some pieces of paper onto the background. I bought on Etsy a handwritten French on random bits of paper.

Now I am going to collage these papers onto the painting.

I did two layers of a fixative on this painting again so hopefully, it’ll be okay. I’m going to continue working on this and soon and I’m going to share two exciting things I can’t wait to share with you.

I worked a little bit on this painting and I think I’m going to finish this in my next blog.

As I mentioned I have some exciting news to share with you.

The first news is that I’m going to be opening up the blooming artist membership!

The other exciting news is that we will be launching a spring shop. My assistant Jen designed some t-shirts for artists and we’re going to be launching the shop in a few weeks!
