10 Things You Need To Do To BOOST Your Creativity

Do you have days where you just don't feel motivated to create art?

Or maybe you feel like you've lost your creativity, inspiration, and feel like you're in a slump?

I know exactly how this feels! And it's not fun.

Here are my 10 tips to boosting your creativity:

1. Take a break from social media, and spend that time you would have been on social creating even if it’s scribbles - no really, take out some markers and make scribbles! This can stimulate your creativity.

2. Go outside for a walk, even better if in nature. Get some sunshine and fresh air!

3. Challenge yourself to create something you’ve been wanting to, but haven’t because you’re afraid what others will think AND don’t show anyone (unless you want to).

4. Create even if you don’t feel inspired - it could come to you during the creation process.

5. Try something new like a new medium, subject, or create somewhere you never have (under a tree, on your kitchen table, etc.)

6. Create with a friend (or video chat because current circumstances).

7. Realize your art will never be perfect in your eyes and accept it - be free from perfectionism!

8. Take care of yourself ~ eat healthy, exercise, consume positive content, etc.

9. Try to create something every day, even if it’s a 5-minute sketch.

10. Stop consuming content from those who make you feel bad about yourself or your artwork! And replace that negative content with positive and healthy content.
