THIS Is How To Find Your Motivation To Paint Again

The last few weeks have been kind of difficult for me if I’m being honest.

I’ve been feeling lost, unmotivated, and just downright exhausted with painting (among other things too).

And since you’re an artist like me, I know you sometimes feel this way...am I right?

You have ideas for your artwork, but the motivation or excitement isn’t there.

Or you seem to run out of ideas for your art.

I’ve been there (just a few days ago in fact), you’re not alone in this.

But don’t despair. I’ve overcome this many, many times. I’ll share with you HOW.

And it is…

Taking a moment of reflection to remember WHY you even paint in the first place.

Take a pause right now.

Close your eyes and imagine yourself painting for the very first time.

Remember how excited you were.

Remember how you felt when creating.

Remember all the amazing ideas you had for your art.

Remember how you felt when you finished the first painting you were proud of.

Bring these feelings and thoughts back.

Pull them closer to your heart and hold onto them.

Do you remember your WHY, now? Write it down right now on a piece of paper.

Is it to find peace in the chaos? Or to express yourself through a painting?

Or to bring something to life from inside you with your own hands?

Read your WHY every single day. Because this is the key to your artist motivation and inspiration.

It’ll be the thing that will help keep you going!

And now push away everything else that doesn’t matter. Everything else that gets in the way of you creating!

Stop getting on social media so much.

Stop watching TV every single night.

Clean up your painting desk or art area. Get organized!

Find and save art from others that inspire you.

Listen to music that lights that creation fire inside you.

Make a list of tutorials you want to do.

Journal all your ideas for your next paintings.

Set out your paints and supplies for tomorrow or for next time you can paint so you’re ready to go.

And start that next painting. You can do it, I know you can!

Hit "reply" and share your WHY with me if you'd like :)
